Boardās Demonstrated Ability to Drive Educational Innovation Will Help Company Transform Learning Outcomes For Students All Over the World.

Enlearn (enlearn.org) ā a not-for-profit K-12 company that is partnering with the University of Washingtonās Center for Game Science (CGS) to harness real-time classroom data to automatically optimize learning for each unique student, teacher and classroom ā today announced that it is adding two distinguished thought leaders in the world of education to its Board of Directors.
The companyās two new Board members are:
Karen Cator ā The President and CEO of Digital Promise. From 2009-2013, Cator was Director of the Office of Educational Technology at the U.S. Department of Education, where she led the development of the 2010 National Education Technology Plan and focused the Officeās efforts on teacher and leader support. She also was a leading voice for transforming American education through technology innovation and research. Prior to joining the Department of Education, Cator directed Appleās leadership and advocacy efforts in education. In this role, she focused on the intersection of education policy and research, emerging technologies and the reality faced by teachers, students and administrators. Cator holds a Masterās degree in School Administration from the University of Oregon and a Bachelorās degree in Early Childhood Education from Springfield College.
Rob Lippincott ā The Chief Executive Officer of TEACH-NOW ā which equips, enables and empowers teachers to design and implement learning experiences that help students learn, grow and develop in any learning environment anywhere in the world ā was previously a venture partner with i2Capital Group, a venture capital firm targeting the education sector. Lippincott has a 30-year track record leading learning innovation while achieving financial success for public and private enterprise. His executive experience spans software, publishing, public television and the communication businesses. He led strategy and product development at PBS; rebuilt and expanded Discovery Educationās digital video streaming products for home and school markets; served as CEO of Childrenās Progress; and engineered several acquisitions before successfully preparing the Family Education Network for sale to Pearson. Lippincott holds a Bachelorās degree from Swarthmore College and a Masterās degree from Harvard University in Educational Technology.
